Description

THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The NCO 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 4100 E. Mississippi Ave, Glendale CO is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; (2) Veteran Owned Small Business; or (3) Small or emerging small business firms to set aside a single or multiple award contracts. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely with the Government discretion. Contractor shall provide an annual comprehensive service plan agreement for 21 each ABBOTT i-STAT Portable Analyzers (P/N 210XXX). The comprehensive service plan includes coverage of analyzers for: i-STAT 1 serial and network downloaders, portable printers (those used to print directly from i-STAT analyzers to printer), simulators, downloaders, i-STAT Central Data Station (CDS) software's and interfaces (HL7 and AME). This plan also guarantees that a replacement will be sent within 24 hours. All maintenance will be documented in service reports and furnished to the Biomed department. Documentation of preventative maintenance (PM) will be also attached to the machine (service stickers). These services will be on behalf of the George E. Wahlen VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, 500 Foothill Drive (113), Salt Lake City, Utah 84148. Services shall be required for a base year period beginning April 15, 2013 through February 28, 2013 with four one-year options for renewal thereafter. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify to the Contract Specialist Shelly Johnstone at Shelly.Johnstone@va.gov, no later than 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), April 5, 2013. Solicitation VA-259-13-P-1149 Abbott i-STAT Portable Clinical Analyzers Service Agreement has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. The NAICS Code 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance is applicable to this acquisition, the size standard for a firm to be considered has an Emerging Small Business is no greater than $19 million. All interested firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business/service disabled veteran owned small business or a woman owned business and must include Duns number and program claiming. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
