Description
Colville Site Plan Three Rivers Site Plan Grounds Maintenance RFQ It is the purpose and intent of this contract to secure grounds maintenance services for the compound of the Forest Service Three Rivers Ranger District site in Kettle Falls, WA, and the Headquarters site of the Colville National Forest in Colville, WA. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, personal protective equipment, supplies, transportation, operating supplies and supervision for the performance of grounds maintenance services in accordance with these specifications. The compound of the Forest Service Headquarters is located at 765 South Main, Colville, Washington. The project includes all areas between the American West Bank Property to the North and the South Main Plaza property to the Southwest of the main offices. The Day Care facility in the fenced area is not included. See Forest Service Headquarters Site Plan. The compounds of the Three Rivers Ranger District are located at 255 W. 11th, 355 W. 11th and 375 W. 11th in Kettle Falls, Washington. The project includes all areas between 11th Street to the boundary of the Kettle Falls School District property to the south and to Juniper Street on the West including the residential lawn area west of the main offices. All common lawns shall be mowed. See Project Site Plan. Performance Work Statement Tasks 1. The contractor shall mow all lawn areas within the contract boundaries to maintain a height of from 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Precautions shall be taken during mowing to prevent windrows and clumps of vegetation. Growing season is approximately from April 15 to October 31. All grass shall present a well-groomed appearance at all times. 2. The contractor shall trim around trees and shrubs without taking the bark off. The contractor shall also trim around sprinkler heads, fences, monuments, flagpoles, walks, etc. Trimming shall be accomplished each time the grass is cut. All vegetative growth shall be trimmed to the same height as for grass cutting. 3. The contractor shall rake all lawn and vegetative areas so as to keep them free from debris generated by mowing or trimming. A self-mulching lawn mower may be one satisfactory approach and may be used with prior Government approval. Rake leaves/needles that have fallen from trees or bushes. 4. After each mowing operation, the Contractor shall verify that the automatic underground sprinkler heads are not damaged. If any sprinkler head is damaged, the COR shall be notified immediately. Any damaged sprinkler components shall be replaced/repaired at contractor's expense. 5. The Contractor shall bag, remove, and properly dispose of all vegetative matter created under this contract after each treatment. The contractor is responsible for the removal of debris to an appropriate disposal site, off the Forest Service compound. 6. The Contractor ensure all sidewalks, parking areas and roads are free from debris after each treatment. 7. Weeds within the lawn mowing area shall be removed as needed to maintain a weed free appearance, the Government recommends using a product that treats weeds and fertilizes in a single application. The contractor shall submit a treatment plan in their proposal. 8. Trim ornamental bushes around the site as needed to keep vegetative material away from buildings and encroaching on sidewalks.
