Description

SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 4100 East Mississippi Avenue, Suite 900, Glendale, CO 80246 intends to solicit proposals to enter into one or more firm-fixed price service contract for maintenance and repair on the Arjo Maxi-Sky Patient Lifts. The contractor service will include all manufacturer recommended annual and bi-annual maintenance on 32 individual Arjo (brand) Maxi-Sky (model): 2 each Maxi Lift 1000s that use an X-Y overhead track; 30 Maxi lift 600s that use linear overhead tracks. The maintenance service plan will include safety testing, load testing, performance testing, cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, repair and necessary parts replacements of all affected units due to schedule or necessity. This agreement will allow for unscheduled on-site repair of the covered equipment in the event of an equipment failure or deficiency. All maintenance will be documented in service reports and furnished to the Biomed department. Documentation of Preventative Maintenance (PM) will be also attached to the machine (service stickers). The area for this contract shall be within the Sheridan V.A. Medical Center, 1898 Fort Road, Sheridan, WY 82801-8320. The anticipated period of performance will be one basic year plus four (4) one-year pre-priced options for renewal. The NAICS Code 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, is applicable to this acquisition, the size standard for a firm to be considered as an Emerging Small Business is no greater than $19 Million. The solicitation package will be available for download on or about March 22, 2012. Proposals submitted shall be due no later than 4:30 p.m. mountain time on March 29, 2012. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The solicitation reference VA-259-13-R-0313 Preventive Maintenance Service for Arjo Maxi-Sky Patient Lifts. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at this website and offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at this website prior to the time of responding to the solicitation. Any questions pertaining to the solicitation must be provided to the contract specialist, in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of the posting of the solicitation, at either Shelly.Johnstone@va.gov or the physical address listed herein to be considered for a response.
