- Description: A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction, alteration and addition to an existing ARC training building. This project will provide an 800-member training facility with administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault and weapons simulator for Army Reserve units with a finished total area of 81,688 SF. The project will also provide adequate parking for privately-owned vehicles. Contract duration is estimated at 525 days. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email on 22 March 2013 by 12:00 Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Provide description of your firm's past experience, on a project where your firm was the Prime, and where greater than 90% of the construction is complete, or where a project has been completed within the last ten years, which is similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include major renovations of National Guard armories, Army Reserve Centers, Armed Forces Training Centers, office complexes, and education facilities. Similar project would be one in which the major renovation would have been approximately 57,000 square feet. Construction of pre-engineered buildings does not count toward a project of similar scope or size. A Project of similar dollar value will be a renovated facility in which the renovation totals approximately $12,000,000. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
