Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarrantine (PPQ), Center for Plant Health Science and Technology (CPHST),will soon begin conducting a trial agreement to evaluate the following types of lures and traps: CLIN 001 - Multi-Funnel Traps (either in standard black or in custom colors to be requested by the Otis staff) CLIN 002 - Intercept Panel Traps (either in standard black or a corrugated plastic color to be provided by the Otis staff - we may even provide the plastic if necessary) CLIN 003 - Large Plastic Delta Traps CLIN 004 - Prism Traps (as designed for emerald ash borer) with colors to be determined) CLIN 005 - Emerald ash borer lures - (Z)-3-hexenol, manuka oil and/or other compounds that are shown in the future to be attractive to emerald ash borer (I don't know if you need specific compounds) CLIN 006 - Asian longhorned beetle lures - green leaf volatiles, beetle-produced compounds CLIN 007 - Lures for emergent pests as needed to continue the mission of the Otis laboratory CLIN 008 - Any Other Prototype Traps for which the Otis Laboratory may have a need to test to continue its mission. Lures for emergent pests as needed to continue the mission of the Otis laboratory Semiochemical lures may be needed for a variety of insects, including emerald ash borer, Asian longhorned beetle and a variety of other pests. These lures may include both commercially available products as well as trial products matching specifications needed by Otis Lab staff members. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 325320 (Pesticide and other agricultural chemical manufacturing). The Small Business Standard Size is 500 employees. The Official Trial Agreement for CLINS 001 thru 005, number AG-6395-S-13-0061, including specifications and all other documents related to this procurement, will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) on or around (03/28/2013). Interested Vendors are encouraged to add their name to the vendor list for this notice. It is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor this site.
