Description
This requirement is for a firm-fixed price requirements contract for the BAK-14M Cable Retraction Aircraft Arresting Systems to include the following: NSN 1710-01-592-6279RN Part Number 9D01160-107, NSN 1710-01-592-1368RN Part Number 9D01160-108, and NSN 1710-01-593-9460RN Part Number 9D01071-103. The BAK-14M Cable Retraction Aircraft Arresting Systems consist of 14 to 20 support boxes which are imbedded flush on the runway eight feet apart just underneath the BAK-12 cable. NSN 1710-01-592-6279RN is for both ends of the runway and is used for the 150 foot wide runway (14 support boxes) which includes a heat system and an ACE3600 radio to control the lowering and raising of pendant cable. NSN 1710-01-592-1368RN is for both ends of the runway and is used for the 200 foot wide runway (20 support boxes) which includes a heat system and an ACE3600 radio to control the lowering and raising of pendant cable. NSN 1710-01-593-9460RN is for one runway end and is used for 150 foot wide runway (14 support boxes) which includes a heat system. The retract feature of the BAK-14M system allows the cable to be lowered flush inside a trough beneath the runway surface; thereby, preventing interference with normal aircraft traffic. The dimensions for the BAK 14M modules are 4" x 15" x 60". The basic year requirement is for one (1) each NSN 1710-01-592-6279RN, P/N 9D01160-107; t here are no requirements for NSN 1710-01-592-1368RN or 1710-01-593-9460RN in the basic year. Also included are two (2) Option Periods with BEQs as follows: Line Item NSN Part Number QTY/BEQ Option I 0001 1710-01-592-6279RN 9D01160-107 1 each 0002 1710-01-592-1368RN 9D01160-108 1 each 0003 1710-01-593-9460RN 9D01071-103 1-2 each BEQs Option II 0001 1710-01-592-6279RN 9D01160-107 1 each 0002 1710-01-592-1368RN 9D01160-108 1 each 0003 1710-01-593-9460RN 9D01071-103 1-2 each BEQs Options may be exercised anytime within 365 or 730 days respectively after award. Options support both USAF/FMS requirement. DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Delivery is due 210 days ARO funded order to FE4801 in the basic year. Delivery in option periods is 210 days after receipt of funded order. Destinations in option periods may include both CONUS and OCONUS locations. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin. The approximate RFP issue date will be 19 March 2013. Proposals are due 19 April 2013. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(14)(ii) - One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. This is a sole source acquisition to Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation (ESCO) (CAGE 21439), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government does not possess the data or have the rights to use the data needed to purchase this item from additional sources. RFP will not be posted to FBO. However, if you desire to receive a copy, please notify the POCs below and one will be provided. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
