Description

The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received before 12:00 pm on Tuesday Narch 6, 2013 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Starrag-Heckert INC is the original equipment manufacturer and will be repairing and making operational one of their machines located at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center. The SU-16 is a proprietary milling machine and due to the proprietary nature of the work to be done; it makes it impossible for other contractors to conduct this repair. All responses may be emailed to Debra Beale at debra.beale@navy.mil and reference number N4215813RC30635 no later than 12:00 pm on March 6, 2013.
