Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, Snake River Area Office, Upper Snake Field Office, Palisades Power Plant has a requirement to replace the existing windows with glass block windows. The existing continuous louvered windows located just below the roof of the powerplant have come to the end of their useful life. The window panes are falling out of their frames and are a safety hazard to personnel and equipment. Palisades Power Plant is located approximately 45 miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho in Bonneville County. Principal features of work include removing existing louvered windows and replacing with glass block windows. Work will be performed near energized high voltage lines. No work can be done from the power plant roof. Work performed on the front side of the power plant must include protection of sensitive equipment which is located directly below the windows. This procurement is a full and open competition and will be a negotiated procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238150 and the size standard is $14 million in gross annual receipts averaged over the previous three 1-year accounting periods. The estimated price range of the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be available APPROXIMATELY March 15, 2013, at www.fedbizopps.gov.
