Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Ortho-Diagnostics, Inc. in Raritan, New Jersey. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing for VITROS ECi diagnostic kits for VITROS ECi Immunodiagnostic Systems. Ortho-Diagnostics, Inc. is the manufacturer of VITROS ECi Immunodiagnostic Systems, already purchased by the CDC, which is only compatible with the VITROS ECi diagnostic kit. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334516. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide a VITROS ECi diagnostic kits for the VITROS ECi Immunodiagnostic System must submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within ten (10) days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
