Description
THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to University of Washington - School of Aquatic & Fisheries Sciences, specializing in fish behavior, ecology and evolution. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S. C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1, this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. As a result, per FARS 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii), the UW-A&FS is currently the logical follow-on provider for continuation of the necessary research and monitoring activities for services deemed necessary in 2013. quote mark Evaluation of straying from Historical CWT and PIT tag Data. quote mark This action is for a new Single Award to continue ongoing research, monitoring, and evaluation (RM&E) on for the follow on study for the straying tendencies (not returning to their original breeding grounds) of barged salmonoids on the Snake and Columbia rivers and their tributaries. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be used for consideration of future requirements. Any such statement of capabilities and qualifications received by the within 15 days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. Submit any inquiries by 5 March 2013 via email to Mary M.
