- This document contains general information for industry day, as well as, the draft system requirements. DISTRIBUTION A. Approved for public release; distribution unlimited. (Approval given by local Public Affairs Office). INDUSTRY DAY FOR MINIATURIZED CRYPTO SOLUTIONS Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic Systems Division (CPSD), COMSEC Products Branch (HNCC), Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas, will be conducting an Industry Day on 27-28 February 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. AFLCMC/HNCC requests industry provide information on Suite B based, NSA Type 1 (available and under development) certified or certifiable Miniaturized Cryptographic (MC) devices for Secret and Below information protection. The cryptographic device will need to be capable of meeting highly optimized Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constraints while supporting modest data throughput. AFLCMC/HNCC envisions MC to be an embeddable module, however alternate solutions may be considered for installation. Embedment/installation will be required to operate within a system employing advanced electronic technology. Capabilities to provide such a device should be briefed with respect to the attached draft system requirements. GENERAL INFORMATION Industry Days will be held on 27 & 28 February 2013 (vendors will only participate in one of the two days). Schedules for each day will be provided to vendors once they RSVP for the event. During each session, the Government will brief background information, provide existing draft system requirements, and allow for questions and answers. Each company is restricted to two representatives maximum and any prime may include potential subcontractors within the two representatives. Questions and answers discussed during the Industry Day will be made available on FedBizOps approximately two weeks after the Industry Days. Upon request, individual sessions with the Government will be made available and consist of at most a 40 minute timeframe. Any respondent's presentation should be no more than 30 minutes in length with the remainder of the time spent on questions and answers. Respondents are reminded that during the individual sessions all questions and Government answers that are not specific to a respondent's solution will be posted to FedBizOps. The Government is interested in any inputs or comments from the respondents to the capabilities and questions identified in the previous RFI MINICRYPTO11212012. The Government is also interested in any input or comment on the method of contracting and contract types as well as an understanding of vendor concerns. If a respondent chooses to request an individual session, individual unclassified presentations must be e-mailed in advance to the appropriate Government POCs. Please note that USB type devices are not authorized. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. If your company chooses to attend the Industry Day, please e-mail your intent, with a list of attendees (include company cage code, full name, business title, contact information (i.e. phone number and email address, and citizenship) to the Points of Contact identified below NO LATER THAN 20 February 13 at 10:00 AM. Also be sure to indicate if you wish to participate in a one-on-one session. Scheduling will be on a first come first serve basis. Industry Day Instructions and a confirmation of a scheduled meeting time will be provided by e-mail several days prior to the event. A valid U.S. Government issued ID will be required to gain entry into the briefing location. REMINDER This event does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement. Participation in response to this announcement is voluntary, and participants shall not be compensated. This is a market research event for the Government to understand existing capabilities. This event does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, AFLCMC is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this event. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with attending this event will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not participating in this event does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this FedBizOps website for additional information pertaining to this potential acquisition.
