- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Fairbanks Morse for the following parts of the CSO kit. These parts are to be received CGC Midgett and will be provided by Fairbanks Morse who is to be awarded this contract because at this time the material and services for this repair require parts and specialty knowledge from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Fairbanks Morse is the OEM and does not authorize third party manufacturers to procure their parts. Fairbanks Morse is the only known source who can provide these parts. They own the manuals, publications & drawings to which the Coast Guard does not have any rights to. Fairbanks Morse is the sole proprietor. This procurement will be made on behalf of the CGC Midgett Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of items. NAICS Code # 332510 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0700am PST February 19 2013 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
