Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY!!! The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Healthcare Administration, Network Contracting Office 07 is seeking potential sources that are capable of providing preventive maintenance (PM), emergency repairs, parts, technical support and required calibrations incorporated into a Maintenance Service Agreement for Siemens Aristos MX/VX Radiography Imaging System. The equipment is located at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. All interested businesses are requested to submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide a maintenance service agreement for the specified equipment. Contractors responding must be authorized service representatives for the Siemens Aristos System and provide detailed documentation that clearly substantiates technical compliance. The business must document authorized access to equipment technical specifications and operational software required for equipment failure diagnosis, corrective repairs, new OEM parts and system updates and upgrades to equipment and software. Include in your response: 1. A draft outline of key elements of a maintenance agreement for the specified equipment 2. The helpdesk support process - (Briefly) 3. Information about current maintenance agreements with other commercial companies 4. If Applicable, indicate your socio-economic status, for example: Small Business, Disadvantaged Small Business, HUBzone, Woman Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc. 5. Respondents shall indicate their status as a foreign-owned or foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this requirement. In accordance with FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely at the Government's discretion. The NAICS code for this sources sought is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. This has a size standard of $19 million. The government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based on responses to this Sources Sought Notice. All information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability documentation received will factor into any possible forthcoming solicitation. Responses / Capabilities Packages: all interested businesses are requested to submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities - include the information requested above for response documentation for maintenance service agreement specifications for Siemens Aristos Systems. Responses may be submitted via email to: tony.jackson@va.gov in Microsoft word compatible or pdf format on or before 1 PM CST, February 14, 2013.
