Description
This is a Pre-Solicitation notice only. The solicitation will be available on or about 19 February 2013 at https://www.neco.navy.mil. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, Jacksonville, FL is currently seeking construction contractors for Solicitation Number N69450-13-R-0754 the AIRCRAFT COMPONENT MAINTENANCE FACILITY, CORPUS CHRISTI ARMY DEPOT, NAVAL AIR STATION, CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. The Aircraft Component Maintenance Facility located at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas consists of constructing an addition to and renovate an existing Aircraft Component Maintenance Shop; primary facilities include construction of an additional 10,200 SF to the existing Building 49; shop space and a mechanical room will be added on the first floor, while the second floor will contain offices, a break room, new restrooms and additional mechanical space. The full 48,552 SF of the original Building 49 spaces will be renovated with minor reconfiguration of walls on both the first and second floors, providing interior access to the Phase I Addition and extending the stairwell to the roof. Exterior work includes the addition of two lean-to canopies. ATFP setbacks are in compliance with guidelines published in Feb 2012. Hazardous material remediation (Lead Based Paint and Hexavalent Chromium dust) and elevator infrastructure work are also included. The contract duration is 570 calendar days from date of contract award. Procurement Method: Negotiated, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Estimate award date is Third (3) Quarter FY 13. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 and the annual size standard is $33,500,000. Estimated cost: $10,000,000- $15,000,000. The solicitation will be available for download free-of-charge via the internet at https://www.neco.navy.mil. This will be the only method of distribution of amendments; therefore IT IS THE OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE, https://www.neco.navy.mil, PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any proposal. Proposals will be due no earlier than 30 days after the solicitation is released (exact date and time will be specified in the solicitation). THE CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER WITH DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM). NO CONTRACT AWARD WILL BE MADE TO ANY CONTRACTOR THAT IS NOT REGISTERED OR IN THE PROCESS OF REGISTERING WITH THE DOD SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT. Site Visit/Pre-Proposal Conference: A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be held for this solicitation. Check solicitation for site visit date and time. NOTE: This is the only site visit planned. Offerors shall submit with their offer a bid bond of $3 Million/ 20% of the amount for Davis Bacon Act (DBA) work.
