- The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility intends to issue a contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) -FAR 6.302-1(c) - Application for Brand Name Description to purchase the following brand name products: Carrier Air Handling Unit, Aero Model 39L AHU, 9 qty Carrier Condensing Unit, 38 Series CU, 9 qty The requirement is to perform the upgrading of the barge. The procurement of the brand name items will replace the items that the barge is currently utilizing. The brand name items are interchangeable with the items currently in use with the other barges and allow uniformity of equipment amongst all barges. In addition, they must fit in the existing foundation with minor to no modification including surrounding walls due to the limited spaces and meet all electrical requirements. The equipment and the parts shall be interchangeable. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract with an estimated period of performance from 24 June 2013 through 21 July 2013. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals or quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their products including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will consider all EOIs received prior to 15 February before 1100 hrs Hawaii Standard Time on that date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
