The purpose of this announcement is for market research purposes only. Responses to this announcement will be used by the government to make the appropriate acquisition decisions. A subsequent solicitation announcement may follow. Responses to this announcement will not be considered as an adequate response to any future announcement. The Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 has a service requirement for the purchase and delivery of radioactive isotopes per the below specification and delivery schedule. Seeking sources from the small business community who may be authorized and/or capable of performing this service. Requirements as follows: Present workload indicates usage of approximately 25 doses of F-18 FDG per week, although this is an indefinite quantity and is subject to change with workload requirements. Future needs will also include F-18 Na F approximately two (2) doses per week. Orders placed via telephone or on line by certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists before 4:00pm on the afternoon prior to the delivery. F-18 FDG orders will be placed as bulk, factoring each patient dose to be 15mCi. Should the occasion arise where bulk doses are not available by the contractor, single unit doses will be accepted. Patient name and last four social security numbers will be provided with the order. The contractor is responsible for maintaining patient information in the strictest confidence in accordance with Nuclear Medicine information system (NMIS) Delivery to Wilkes-Barre VAMC will be at least once daily with delivery required by 8am, Monday through Friday. A second delivery may be necessary to accommodate workload approximately 5 times per month. Bulk/ unit doses delivered will be adequately shielded in accordance with Department of transportation (DOT) regulations and packaged to prevent damage during transport. Delivery vehicles and staff must comply with federal/ state and local regulations. The contractor must meet all Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),National Health Physics Program ( NHPP)and DOT regulations and will submit evidence of current license and registration.
