Description
The subject solicitation is hereby extended to aolicit quotes from available vendors. No further amendments are made to the existing requirement. Statement of work 1. a. Conduct all necessary training and instruction for USNS CARL BRASHEAR (T-AKE 7) crewmembers in the requirements to test and self certify material handling equipment (MHE) listed in Table 1. All training and instruction shall be provided in accordance with references (a) and (b). 1. b. Reconfigure all of CARL BRASHEAR 's battery chargers so electric forklifts are charged at the correct rate. 1.b.1. Inspect, calibrate and set ten (10) SES3C-18-1050BNL20 chargers, to charge only the 800 A/h battery model 18-E80S-21EE used with the Hyster Model E40/60XM electric lift trucks. 1.b.2. Inspect, calibrate and set the remaining two (2) model SLTC2-18-1000 battery chargers to charge at no higher than 1040 A/h to rate. These two will be designated to charge battery model 18-E80S-27EE used with the Hyster E100Z lift trucks. 1.b.3. Measure the cable voltage drops, output currents, and equalize modes. 1.b.4. Deactivate the auto equalize and auto re-fresh charge mode on all battery chargers. Inspect the cables and connectors to assure that each charger is working at its maximum efficiency. This requirement applies to all battery chargers in Table 2. 1. c. Conduct a similar inspection listed in (2. B.) on the 72 volt chargers used on the Hubtex side loaders (Table 3) although these will not require a recalibration of the charge rate. This requirement applies to all battery chargers in Table 3. 1.c.1. Deactivate the auto equalize and auto re-fresh charge mode on all battery chargers. Inspect the cables and connectors to assure that each charger is working at its maximum efficiency. This requirement applies to all battery chargers in Table 3. 2. Deliverables: 2.a. Complete and signed MHE Safety Certification Form, figure 6-1 of reference (a). Provide the original signed forms to the CARL BRASHEAR's Master or his designated representative. Provide a copy of the signed forms to the MSFSC MHE Program Manager (Arthur Hughes/Isaac Montgomery) via email. 2.b. Complete and signed Fork Inspection Form, figure 8-13 of reference (b) for the forklifts listed in Table 1 of paragraph 1. Expiration date will be 12 months from the date of the fork inspection. Provide the original signed forms to the CARL BRASHEAR's Master or his designated representative. Provide a copy of the signed forms to the MSFSC MHE Program Manager via Email. 3. Logistic Requirements: 3.a The period of performance of this upkeep and instruction period is 20 Feb - 6 Mar 2013
