Description

The Charles George VAMC, Asheville, NC is seeking the services of a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for work which includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision to supply and install a new air handling system, new private and semi-private patient rooms with wheelchair accessible toilet/shower rooms, new electrical systems, new nurse call system, space for omnicell storage and medication systems, new flooring systems, patient lift systems and security, at the VAMC Asheville, NC. The work shall include demolition of existing systems, phasing, structural work to install a rooftop air handling unit, plumbing, electrical, various Architectural interior work, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection. All work shall be in accordance with the Construction Drawings and Specifications. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 M. All work shall be completed within 340 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation will be posted on/about 02 April 2013. This date is an estimate. A pre-proposal/walk-through date will be established in the solicitation document. The Contracting Officer's email address is denise.obrien2@va.gov and joanne.swann@va.gov (alternate). Firms submitting a bid must be registered at both the System for Award Management (SAM) and Vet Biz (CVE Certified). The Online Representations and Certifications (SAM) must be completed by each firm submitting a proposal prior to the bid opening date. Important Notice: Apparent successful bidder must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, bidder must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises at the time of submission of bid. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz at the time of bid submission will result in the bidder's proposal being deemed non-responsive. All bidders are urged to contact the CVE and submit the aforementioned required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
