Description
Request for Quote 5130-01-494-0074 UI: PG Quantity: 10 BLADE, RECIPROCATING SAW DESCRIPTION This description covers a 1/2-inch universal shank blade for use in portable electric reciprocating saws. Salient Characteristics: Design - The saw blade shall be suitable for use on most commercially available reciprocating saws with a maximum speed of 2600 strokes per minute and a maximum length of stroke of 3/4 inch, where the blade is mounted at a right angle to the motor axis and is designed to accommodate a "universal" style of shank. The teeth shall be uniform in shape and size, and shall be ground or otherwise sharpened so that cutting will occur on the reverse stroke. The blades shall be straight and flat with a maximum bow of 0.02 inch and a maximum twist of 0.01 inch. Bi-metal cutting blade, suitable for use in cutting metals, plastics, and fiberglass and shall be made of high-speed steel. The blades shall have a hardness of 57 to 66 on the Rockwell C scale when tested in accordance with ASTM E18. The teeth shall have a wave set, a back clearance of 50 to 70 degrees and a rake of 0 +,- 5 degrees. The cutting edge of the bi-metal blade shall be constructed of high-speed steel. The back shall be constructed of carbon or high-speed steel. The back shall have a hardness of 44 to 52 on the Rockwell C scale when tested in accordance with ASTM E18. The cutting edge or teeth shall have a hardness of 62 to 69 on the Rockwell C scale when tested in accordance with ASTM E18. The teeth shall base either a wave set of raker set. Length 4 +,- 1/4 inches, 18 teeth per inch, 0.030 inches minimum blade thickness. Protective Coating - All blades shall have a protective coating of oil, paint, or lacquer in accordance with the manufacturers standard commercial practice.
