Description
The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7 Alaska, is preparing to issue a solicitation (Request for Proposals-RFP) for the design-build of a two (2) bay (30 x 42) pre-engineered, un-insulated metal storage building with option of two (2) additional bays (30 x 18) for the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, Dillingham, Alaska. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the release of the solicitation package and other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the full solicitation package. The solicitation number: F13PS00190 and additional documents may be viewed and downloaded from www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net on or after February 19, 2013. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: $250,000 to $500,000 SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: 100% Total Small Business Set-aside utilizing NAICS code 236210 $33.5M PROJECT OVERVIEW: Design, Supply, Deliver and Construct: All necessary supplies, material and equipment for a pre-engineered, unheated and un-insulated, metal frame building system; site work, foundation system; and electrical system for a new metal storage building. The project is located at the Togiak NWR headquarters maintenance yard site on the Kanakanak Road 1 mile west of Dillingham Alaska. The period of performance end date will be 12/31/2013. An organized site visit has been schedule for February 26, 2013 at 11:00 am SOLICITATION: The design-build solicitation and evaluation process shall be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Sub Part 36.3. The issued RFP shall set forth the requirements for responding to the solicitation, as well as all technical evaluation factors and subfactors. Please also note that solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via the government point of entry (GPE) found at www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net. Hard copy documents will not be supplied by the government to any interested parties as a result of this solicitation. Vendors submitting offers for this requirement must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to participate; offers received from vendors that are not currently registered will be rejected. Vendors must have completed and have accurate and current on-line representations and certifications found at System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for award. Award for this requirement is anticipated to be based on 'Best Value' to the Government, price and other evaluation factors considered. Identification of significant evaluation factors and subfactors will be duly noted within the solicitation documents, once issued.
