Solicitation Number: SOL-NC-12-00039 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis Synopsis: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and is for market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting market research to advertise this requirement and determine if a reasonable number of businesses exist with the knowledge, skills and capability to perform the work described below. The proposed requirement is for all services, material, equipment, and labor to construct an NCore multi-pollutant monitoring station containing air sampling instrumentation including meteorological instrumentation, data logging hardware, software, manuals, supporting documentation, communications and any other equipment and supplies as specified in the NCore Readiness Checklist available on EPA?s web site at: http://www.epa.gov/ttn/amtic/ncore/guidance.html. Each turn-key NCore monitoring station will minimally consist of the following: the station shelter, gas monitors, sample manifold and other supporting equipment, ten-meter tower, meteorological sensors, data logger, and full turn-key operation of the station at the designated NCore location with a standard one-year warranty. The proposed contract will require at least one, with the option to establish up to four additional, NCore multi-pollutant monitoring stations at specific sites throughout the United States and it s territories. The size standard associated with NAICS 334516 is 500 employees. This is a new requirement. The government anticipates an award of a firm fixed-price contract. The intent of this source sought synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exist; therefore, no solicitation (RFP) is available. All interested parties, able to meet the above requirements, are requested to submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability, no later than 15 days after the date of this publication.
