- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Firm Fixed Price Contract for tour guide service for the Flaming Gorge Dam and Visitor Center. The Flaming Gorge Dam and Visitor Center is located 42 miles NE of Vernal, Utah on Hwy 191. Project Description: Tour Guide Services for Flaming Gorge Dam, Visitor Center and Recreation Area. Varying numbers of tours are to be conducted from April 15 through October 15. The one year base contract will begin April 15, 2013, and the Government may exercise four one year options, extending the performance period through October 15, 2018. The Firm Fixed Contract will also include clause 52.217-08 Option to Extend Services. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 713990. This acquisition falls under FAR Subpart 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection process and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Government is placing the solicitation out for full and open competition. This is not a set aside. Solicitation R13PS41003 will be posted at http:///ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 22, 2013. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is March 25, 2013. The solicitaion and specifications must be downloaded at http:\\ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Contractor Registration (SAM) as required by FAR 4.1102 applies to this requirement. In addition, FAR 4.1200 Annual Representations and Certifications, Online Representations and Certifications Application (SAM) apply to this requirement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
