Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Candela Corporation, 530 Boston Point Road, Wayland, MA 01778 for the purchase of PMA for the Candela VBeam Laser and GentleMax Laser System. The contract will result in a firm fixed price purchase order. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice shall be submitted to SSgt Ryan Amos at ryan.amos@us.af.mil. Responses are due no later than 8 February 2013, 10:00 AM local time. (NAICS) code 811219.
