- This is not an invitation for proposals. This is a special notifciation for Sole Source Award to Information Today Inc. Any qualified vendors interested submitting a proposal should do so prior to Feb. 11, 2013 at 5pm. STATEMENT OF WORK/SPECIFICATION (DRAFT- SUBJECT TO CHANGE) FEDLINK 2013 Member Attendance FDL20130005 C.1. BACKGROUND A. The mission of the Federal Library and Information Center Committee (FLICC) is to foster excellence in federal library and information services through interagency cooperation and to provide guidance and direction for the Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK). FEDLINK serves federal libraries and information centers as their purchasing, training and resource-sharing consortium. As the FLICC business subsidiary, customers can tap into the expertise of federal librarians, contracting officers, financial managers, and customer service representatives - getting the best products and services at the best available prices. Providing this opportunity for FEDLINK members to attend the workshop at a reduced rate allows a maximum number of federal employees to attend while saving agencies nearly 50% of the regular registration fee, fulfilling our mission to get our members the best products at the best price. C.2. SCOPE A. Computers in libraries training focuses on information vital to the FEDLINK membership: mobile devices and electronic collections and how their use is changing the spaces and services of libraries, as well as the skills, competencies and roles that are evolving to deal with all these changes. Additional workshop topics includes: tools for web managers, measuring library impact, designing library space user experience, change & customer engagement, digital repositories, mobile developments, eBooks, social media, working with IT, planning and managing applets. B. Members who attend this event will gain knowledge about new and upcoming advances in technology and social media, as well as the newest information on collection digitization and storage. C. This is the 17th year for the agreement between LC/FLICC/FEDLINK and Information Today for FEDLINK to broker registration on behalf of FEDLINK members for the Computers in Libraries workshop. C.3. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS A. SPECIFIC TASKS: 1. Provide descriptive and promotional information that the FLICC can use to develop publicity about the event; 2. Allow FLICC to register an unlimited number of attendees at the discounted rate; 3. Provide all materials necessary to conduct the workshop; 4. Bill FEDLINK members paying via credit card, check, or billable document; 5. Provide FLICC with attendance records for members paying via FEDLINK Training (FT) accounts upon completion of the workshop; 6. Provide FLICC with a signed invoice upon agreement of final price. B. TASK PRIORITY AND TIME FRAMES 1. Provide descriptive and promotional information that the FLICC can use to develop publicity about the event: by January 1, 2013 2. Allow FLICC to register an unlimited number of attendees at the discounted group rate: by deadline of February 18, 2013 3. Provide all materials necessary to conduct the workshop: April 7-11, 2013 4. Bill FEDLINK members paying via credit card, check, or billable document: within 1 month 5. Provide FLICC with attendance records for members paying via FEDLINK Training (FT) accounts upon completion of the workshop; 6. Provide FLICC with a signed invoice upon agreement of final price: by May 1, 2013 C.4. OTHER REQUIREMENTS N/A C.5. DELIVERABLES A. N/A B. Information Today will provide a report of all FEDLINK attendees by May 1 for review by FEDLINK. C. N/A D. No yearly option required. C.6. TESTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE N/A: After 15 years of brokering this event, FEDLINK membership continues to request a FEDLINK discount for the event. Membership interest is the only quality assurance necessary. C.7. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE & DELIVERY SCHEDULE A. The period of performance is from February 2013 to May 2013
