- This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for proposal or an invitation for bids and a solicitation is not available. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this sources sought announcement. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15135 is issuing this Sources Sought notice to determine the availability of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that have the experience and capabilities to provide Construction services as described below for Project #646-09-128 "Upgrade Normal and Emergency Power at University Drive" as per the Architect's design and specifications. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the type of set-aside to be used, if warranted. This RFI is open to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) only; do not respond unless you are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The construction estimate is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000; the NAICS code is 236220: and the small business size standard is $33,500,000. Interested contractors must register on the "Interested Vendors List" for this RFI no later than January 30, 2013. Phone inquiries, faxes, and electronic submissions will not be accepted. Do not submit documentation of any kind by phone, fax, or email. Communications will not be acknowledged. The ONLY requirement at this time is to register as an interested vendor. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This project will require the contractor to provide additions and modifications as necessary to upgrade, expand and renovate the Normal/Emergency Power Distribution System at VAPHS University Drive (UD) Division. The resulting normal/emergency power distribution system must be fully compliant with all applicable electrical/building standards, codes and regulations. NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS RFI IS SOLELY FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT AT THIS TIME IS REGISTRATION ON THE "INTERESTED VENDORS LIST".
