Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought Synopsis in reference to Solicitation number FA8213-12-R-3031 synopsis posted on Jan 06, 2012. This is an extension to the sources sought synopsis that was posted on Nov. 8-21, 2012. The U.S. Air Force is conducting a search for the capability to support Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser (WCMD) aircraft integration, mission planning and flight test and engineering/technical support for the WCMD weapon system. Integration efforts will include software interface updates between aircraft and weapon system that occur due to aircraft upgrades, weapon system improvements, or additional compatibility requirements. Tasks for the SIL include software integration specifically for the WCMD tail kit, engineering testing/evaluation for duplication of recurring failures or interface variations due aircraft software updates. Maintenance and repair of simulators include circuit card repair, software upgrades, anomaly resolution, troubleshooting, cable repair, and alterations necessary from aircraft hardware or software upgrades or technical changes. Support flight tests at Hill AFB and Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR). There is no government owned technical data for the WCMD tail. There is no Government furnished equipment available for this effort. The contractor is responsible to provide all personnel, services, facilities, and materials to accomplish the effort. Information Sought: Interested companies are encouraged to respond to this announcement as soon as possible with a notice of interest and then follow up with complete response information. In the complete response, companies should provide a summary of their capabilities and their expected ability to meet the requirements above. Responses should include: a. Name and address of the contractor and where the disassembly would be accomplished. b. Point of contact including name, title, phone and e-mail address c. Size of the contractor, average annual revenue for the past three years and the number of employees d. Description of similar activities offered by the contractor that currently meet, or with modifications, might meet the above listed requirements e. Indication of an understanding of safety requirements f. The estimated lead time required to teardown first BLU-97/B and/or BLU97A/B sub-munitions g. Whether the business is currently classified as a Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a) and/or Woman Owned Company, Hub Zone Small business, veteran owned small business, or service disabled veteran owned small business. Where to Submit: Submissions should be sent via e-mail (preferred), mail, or fax. Companies are encouraged to make submissions via e-mail or fax due to limitations on the postal system. E-mail submissions may include files in Microsoft Word format or Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) format. When to Submit: Notices of intent to respond should be submitted no later than one week. Final submissions must be received not later than 10 working days from the date of this notice. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting future solicitation.
