- The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns or for Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns or Small Business Concerns. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE REPAIRS of the USCGC MOBILE BAY (WTGB 103). The USCGC MOBILE BAY (WTGB 103) homeport is the STURGERON BAY, WI. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS- HOMEPIER. Anticipated start date on or about 06 JUNE 2013 through 09 JULY 2013. The scope of the acquisition is to: (1) Main Propulsion Motor Sea Water and Lube Oil Pumps, Renew (2) Circuit Breakers (60 Hz), Inspect and Test (3) Circuit Breakers (60 Hz), Inspect and Test (4) Vent Ducts (Laundry Exhaust), Commercial Cleaning (5) Compressed Air Receivers (All), Clean, Inspect, and Hydro (6) Compressed Air System Valves, Inspect and Test (7) Anchor Windlass, Level 2 Inspect and Repair (8) Traction Winches, Overhaul - Barge (9) Boat Boom, Level 2 Inspect and Repair (10) Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect (11) Sewage Vacuum Collection Tanks, Clean and Inspect (12) Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush (13) Tanks (Grey Water Holding), Preserve 'Partial' (14) Temporary Services, Provide (15) Links, Gripes, Binders and Jacks, Inspect and Test (16) Deck Covering (Wet/Dry), Seal (17) Deck Covering (Interior Wet/Dry), Renew (18) Vent Ducts (All Other), Commercial Cleaning (19) Hull Fittings (Weight Handling Rigging Hardware), Inspect and Test - Barge (20) Tanks (Sewage Holding), Preserve (21) Gypsy Winch (Appleton Model AMD-865), Overhaul (22) Hydraulic Release Pelican Hook, Level Inspect and Repair (23) Buoy and Cargo Handling Crane (Barge), Level 2 Inspect and Repair (24) Compartment Interior (Motor Room), Preserve Overhead and Bulkhead Surfaces and (25) Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle, Inspect and Repair. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc).
