Description

SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) intends to solicit and negotiate a contract to accomplish repairs to the USS Albuquerque (SSN-706). The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Dresser-Rand, address: 1675 Brandywine Ave. Ste. F, Chula Vista, CA 91911. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). SWRMC intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): Soliciting from a single source. The basis for restricting competition is that as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM),Dresser-Rand is the only source with the available parts and capability of performing the repairs. Since this is a Sole Source procurement, a solicitation will not be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE). DESCRIPTION: The requirement is for a firm-fixed-price (FFP) order; Contract Line Item No.(CLIN) 0001 is to prepare for and accomplish repairs to the High Pressure Air Compressor (HPAC) onboard the USS Albuquerque (SSN-706). Refer to Attachment (1) for the entire Statement of Work. PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS: Packaging and preservation shall be performed in accordance with the best commercial practices to afford maximum protection against damage. DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: Item shall be priced at F.O.B. Destination and shall be delivered in accordance with the attached statement of work. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination by the Government. SWRMC POC is Shaz Javed, 619-556-3079, shaz.javed@navy.mil.
