Description
Provide all management, supervision, personnel, rotary wing aircraft, aircraft replacement/repair parts, fuel, firefighting foam, and any other items and services not government furnished necessary to provide Natural Resources Aerial Support Services, as defined in the work statement, to the Natural Resources Management Branch, DPW, Fort Hood, Texas. The environmental operational support flight missions on the Fort Hood Military Installation include fire suppression flights; endangered species habitat protection from wildfires, wildfire suppression, and non-fire suppression flights; monitoring the effects of training activities in endangered species habitat(s), oak wilt vegetation monitoring surveys, wildlife invasive species surveys and control of feral hogs. During the environmental operational support flight missions, government personnel aboard the aircraft will perform observational crewmember tasks as related to their job function. The Contractor shall provide one five-place turbine powered helicopter and one seven-place turbine powered helicopter to support this requirement.
