Description

The VA Southwest Heath Care Network VISN 18 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), 7272 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814-1439.on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The acquisition will be accomplished using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13 to purchase accreditation fees for the purpose of accrediting the Pharmacy Residency Programs within VISN 18. The accreditation fee covers all of the oversight requirements including site visits for the accreditation, reference materials and resources, online evaluation software which is a critical need for the program to operate, resident matching services through the National Matching Service, and an online application system (PhORCAS Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service.) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 813910 and the size standard is $7.0 million. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof of accreditation in Pharmacy Residency in the United States no later than 12:00 PM local Arizona time, January 2, 2013. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications in the United States. Notifications shall be mailed or emailed to L. Danielle Provencio (678/9-90C), Contracting Officer, 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 or Lillian.Provencio@va.gov. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Southwest Heath Care Network VISN 18 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. This notice is not request for competitive proposals or quotes.
