- NAVSEA Indian Head Division has a requirement for the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) for engineering and technical support for the development, production, fabrication, analyses, inspection, and testing of ordnance, weapons, simulation systems hardware, and related components, explosives, propellants, and explosive devices to include precision machining; electronics manufacturing, and packing design and kit assembly. This requirement will be 100% small business set aside. As a result of this solicitation, the Government intends to award up to three (3) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to small business offerors. Approximate release date of this solicitation is 31 January 2013. Work under this effort shall advise and assist with various tasks in support of engineering support, systems engineering and technical analysis, development of programs, and improvised explosive device (IED) defeat technology. This procurement will be conducted on a best value basis utilizing a trade-off process. The FSC code is R425, the NAICS code is 332710, and the size standard is 500 employees. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. Include in the subject line of your email, Solicitation Number N00174-13-R-0020.
