Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to solicit for contractor support to assist in prototyping and testing of Consolidated Automated Support Systems (CASS) equipment as required by the NAVAIR, Fleet Readiness Center (FRCSE) Jacksonville, Florida. This support will include electrical/mechanical prototype design and fabrication, product drawing review, testing and required manufacturing to produce prototypes and First Article units using existing Government supplied drawings. Current supported platforms include but are not limited to: MH-60R/S, F/A-18, P-3, EP-3E ARIES II, EA-6B Prowler, E-2C Hawkeye, and E-6 Mercury. Additional commodities to include but not limited to the platform ™s respective Support Equipment (SE); Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and Common Support Equipment (CSE), Air Combat Electronics (ACE), Tactical Reconnaissance and Electro-Optics Equipment, and other assigned equipment or systems as directed. The Governments anticipates a multiple award, firm fixed price requirements type contract with task order provisions. It will include a 2 year base period and three, one-year option periods. This requirement is a total small business set aside and identified under NAICS Code 336413 with the size standard of 1000 employees. The complete Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about 07 Jan 2013 and will close 30 days thereafter. The RFP will be made available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (www.neco.navy.mil) web sites. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced websites frequently for updates. No paper copies of these documents will be issued. Offerors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award.
