Description
MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office, Tacoma, WA intends to award a firm fixed priced order under FAR Part 6.302-1 to Surgical Orthopedic Qwix Fixation Instrument Trays with, Orthopedic Qwix Fixation Instrument in the amount of $117,980.00 for a one-time purchase. These instruments are used daily for different types of surgeries in support of the Emergency Room Department and in support of scheduled surgical patient and trauma surgeries which are critical and imperative to maintaining patient care. Because of the nature of Trauma cases, another instrument set must be in stock and ready to use every day, and immediately after each use be sterilized, thus the need to have a back-up instrument on hand. This equipment is considered mission critical and imperative to maintaining patient care at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent: Ms. Angela Dexter at angela.dexter@us.army.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
