Description

This is a presolicitation notice only; it is not a request for proposals or offers. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9 located at 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 will be issuing a solicitation for a contract to provide neurology consultation services twenty four hours per day, seven days per week. The contractor would also need to coordinate transfer of Veterans presenting with acute stroke conditions that cannot be managed at the Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Louisville KY. The hospital facility for transfers must be within twenty (20) miles of the Robley Rex VAMC, must be able to properly manage acute stroke patients and the contractor must have admitting privileges at the local hospital. The contractor will also provide on-call coverage in the absence of Robley Rex VAMC staff neurologists. Most on call coverage will be scheduled in advance. Services are to be performed for the Veteran beneficiaries within Louisville KY and the surrounding area. The contract period will be for one (1) year from the date of contract award, with four (4) option years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government. NAICS Code 621111 applies with a size standard of 10 million. This notice does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service.
