Description
ISSUE DATE: 18 December 2012. The contractor shall provide all necessary transportation, labor, equipment, materials, services, tools, and perform all operations required to inspect and test pressure vessels in accordance with the requirements specified herein and the referenced Codes. Upon completion of the work submit a report of the results to the Customer for certifying work completion and file purposes. The Inspector shall issue an operating certificate to each pressure vessel that passes all inspections and tests and will operate safely thereafter for the greater time period of one year or the next scheduled inspection. For each pressure vessel that fails any inspection or test the Inspector shall identify in the report to the Customer all deficiencies and appropriate recommendations for corrective action that must be performed to the pressure vessel before it can be re-inspected and an operating certificate issued. It is the Coast Guards intention to make a single award firm-fixed price contract for these services. The Solicitation includes a Base Period of one year with 3 one year optional periods for continued performance (for a total of 4 years). The total estimated value of the procurement, inclusive of all optional periods, is between $100,000 and $250,000. Service Contract Act wage rates are applicable. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 18 December 2012. The tentative date set for receipt of proposals is scheduled for 17 January 2013 at 4:00 pm. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541380 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 19 and is issued 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
