- Description
- This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority for FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all information received within fifteen days (15) after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District intends to specify the following manufacturers product in the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU), MacDill AFB, FL project in order to properly manage the high density customer work spaces required by USSOCOM-J6 in its new data center. USSOCOM requires Crestron audio visual equipment and operation/configuration software. This project will include constructing a multi-story facility with precast concrete exterior wall panels. Project includes site improvements, landscaping, communications and anti-terrorism/force protection. Construction consists of concrete pile foundation, structural steel framing, reinforced concrete slab, fire protection, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security system, assured telecomm architecture, HVAC and built up roof. Crestron audio visual systems have undergone extensive operational and security testing and integration to ensure secure and reliable operation on Special Operations Forces Information Enterprise networks. The Command uses this single brand for all of its networks to minimize repeated and continual testing and integration efforts that are expensive and time-consuming. Using a single brand minimizes maintenance, training requirements, streamlines logistics support processes, and reduces costs associated with maintenance and operation of multiple brands. Firms interested in being considered shall provide manufactures name, product data and written statement of compatibility. The written statement of compatibility shall include manufacturer backup information and support documentation. Responses must be received fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, ATTN: Rosemary Hall: CESAM-CT-C, P.O. Box 2288, Mobile, AL 36628-0001, faxed to 251-441-6510 ATTN: Rosemary Hall or emailed to Rosemary.C.Hall@usace.army.mil
