Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 37.110, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation F2KBAD2272A003 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-60, Effective 27 August 2012. (iv) This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 333314; Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing, Size Standard 500 Employees. No applicable waiver to the Nonmanufacturere Rule has been granted by the SBA under this NAICS. Therefore, resellers are excluded from competing in this solicitation. Specifications for 1556 nm to 778 nm Second Harmonic Doubling module. This device will convert laser light at 1556 nm to light at 778 nm using nonlinear crystal such as PPKTP or PPLN. The device will accept up to 5 Watts of continuous wave (CW) light at 1556 nm. It will output at least 100 mW of 778 nm light. The device should accept the light at the input via a 1 meter polarization maintaining (PM) fiber optic cable with protective cladding with FC/APC adapter at the end. The output will be collimated free space light. The input light will be single frequency with a full width half max (FWHM) of less than 100 kHz and this output should maintain this frequency width. The input light will be polarized with an extinction ration of at least 13 dB and this should be maintained at the output. The device will be temperature controlled to maintain proper phase matching and keep stable output. The output power should be stable to +/-3% at frequencies below 1 kHz.
