- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is releasing a PowerPoint Presentation on the redesign of the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program 11th Scope of Work (SoW). This PowerPoint presentation will be presented at the 2012 Quality Net Conference on December 11, 2012 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott at 700 Aliceanna Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland 21202. The following link is provided for conference information: http://www.qualitynetonline.com/.Conference. Unregistered parties are welcome to attend this specific QIO session ONLY. For those participating by telephone, please call 877-267-1577 and use Meeting ID# 8200. The PowerPoint presentation may be accessed on or after December 16, 2012, through the following website: http://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Quality-Initiatives-Patient-Assessment-Instruments/QualityImprovementOrgs/Future.html. Please be advised that this notice is published for informational purposes only and to request comment/feedback on the QIO 11th SoW draft statement of work concepts. The government is not liable for any costs associated with the submission of comments or feedback related to this notice. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. The purpose of this notice is to convey the general topics to be covered in the PowerPoint Presentation, which are: (1) post the high level concepts of the QIO 11th SoW draft; (2) solicit industry comments on these concepts; and (3) solicit industry comments on specific aims for the 11th SoW. Interested parties are informed that the attached QIO 11th SoW Program concepts are in DRAFT FORMAT ONLY (subject to further revision) and do not represent a final statement of requirements. At this time, CMS is requesting industry comment only on the QIO Program redesign concepts. Comments must be submitted electronically utilizing the format in Attachment A entitled, "Comment Format". The email address for submission of industry comments is: OCSQBox@cms.hhs.gov. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm (local prevailing time--Baltimore, MD) on December 31, 2012. Industry comments will be reviewed by CMS for consideration in finalization of the DRAFT SOW. CMS will not address questions to the Draft SOW.
