Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The National Acquisition Center will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA797N-12-R-0057 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation Units (TENS Units) and Electrodes. VA procures approximately 75,000 TENS Units and 315,000 Electrodes annually. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% set aside for small business. The contract period will be for one base year plus four one-year option periods. A single award is anticipated from this solicitation. If the offeror is not the manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA797N-12-R-0057 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about December 17, 2012 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334510. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
