Description
Synopsis: The purpose of this notice is to comply with the synopses and pre-solicitation notice requirements of FAR 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. Any solicitation resulting from this notice will b e handled in accordance with FAR 5.102(d); therefore, availability of any resulting solicitation package will be limited to this electronic medium. Accordingly, interested vendors are encouraged to register themselves as an interested vendor. The United States Government (USG), represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the USAID/Uganda Private Health Support program The purpose of this solicitation will be to identify a qualified contractor to implement this new program. The primary objective of the program is to support the professional development of Private Health Providers/Private for Profit (PHP/PFP) providers, selected private sector run company clinics, private health sector regulatory entities and commercial pharmaceuticals firms. To achieve this goal, the USAID/Uganda Private Health Support program will focus on three intermediate results: 1) Expanded availability of health services by private service providers; 2) Increased affordability of private health services and products; and 3) Improved quality of private health sector facilities and services. USAID anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about December 20, 2012. Please do not consider this announcement as an RFP, and do not submit your proposals until a formal RFP is posted on the FedBizOpps website: http://www.fbo.gov. This notice does not obligate USAID to award a contract, nor does it commit the USG to pay any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of proposals.
