- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), intends to solicit an innovative Performance Work Statement (PWS) that addresses the needs and concerns of ICE in order to contract for Detention Management, Transportation and Food Services for the Krome Service Processing Center (SPC) located at: 18201 SW 12th Street Miami, Florida 33194 The services required for this facility may include all contract oversight management, supervision, trained personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, pre-employment screenings, administration, and any other resources necessary to provide various Detention Management, Transportation and Food Services for detainees at the Krome SPC. In addition, all Contractors shall be licensed as a qualified security service company in accordance with all laws, statutes, and regulations of the State of Florida, and the Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining current permits/business licenses throughout the term of the contract. The Government anticipates awarding a ten (10) year Requirements contract using fixed unit pricing. This contract will consist of a sixty (60) day transition period, eleven (11) month base year and nine (9), twelve (12) month option years. The Service Contract Act is applicable to this acquisition. All required clauses, provisions and transportation routes will be included in the solicitation and resulting contractual instrument. This procurement is being competed as a competitive 8(a) set aside. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is on or about December 27th, 2012. The solicitation closing date will be sixty (60) days after release of the Request for Proposal (RFP). All interested vendors submitting proposals as the prime contractor will be required to attend a mandatory site visit. The date for the site visit has yet to be determined. Amendments to this synopsis will be made as needed and posted to FedBizOpps.gov.
