Description

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiate a contract on a sole-source basis to Charles Stark Draper Laboratory (CSDL) Cambridge, MA. This procurement will provide for the effort and oversight to procure the TRIDENT II, Life Extension (LE) production materials and circuit card assemblies repair and upgrades. CSDL is the prime contractor responsible for the development, production and fleet support of TRIDENT II MK 6 and MK 6 LE Guidance Systems. CSDL is the prime contractor responsible for the development of these complex, application-specific devices and subassemblies. This effort will begin on 01 Febuary 2014 and final delivery shall end on 30 April 2016. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to CSDL, Cambridge, MA, the only source with unique facilities and personnel expertise required for this program. An Award Notice will be publicized, along with the supporting Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition (J&A), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.301, 5.303, and 6.305 under separate notice.
