- This is a notice of intent to award a Sole Source Purchase Order and is not a request for competitve proposals under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible, no other supplier or services will satisfy agency requirement 41.U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a firm fixed price one year purchase order with Karl Storz Endoscopy for the acquisition of Preventative Maintenance Agreement for: 3EA OR1 9000 system. Period of Performance will be 12//12/2012 through 12/11/2013 The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center (CC) Department of Perioperative Medicine Section (DPM) has a need to approve a Justification for a Preventative Maintenance Agreement on wiring a flat screen monitors to equipment requires for ongoing experiments. Approval of a purchase order for the Karl Storz OR1 system is neededto insure the videocomponents are consistentlyworking. this includes all wiring through the Booms and the flat sreen monitors. These Operating Rooms are the main rooms used for for laparoscopic surgery that wll be supported by the OR1. This urgent an compelling procurement action in accordance with IAW FAR 6.302-2 is based on the need to purchase a Preventative Maintenace Agreement for OR rooms 10,11, and 12's Karl Storz OR 1 system. The OR 1 system consists of a full functional testing, adjustment and calibration of all system components complete cleaning of all included equipment, minor trouble shooting and reporting Apecific categories include audio and video equipment, signal routers and flat screen monitors. Small businesses are encouraged to respond to this notice if they are capable to meet the needs of this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall contain suffient documemtation to establish bonafide capability and compatiblity to fulfill the requirement.
