Description

Special Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, on behalf of VA Puget Sound Health Care System intends to award a single source commercial purchase order to Intuitive Surgical, Inc at 1266 Kifer Rd, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-5206. This proposed action is for surgical instruments and supplies for the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System for the Seattle VA Medical Center. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a Single source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) as implemented FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Exclusive Proprietary Rights. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Please reference RFQ # VA260-13-Q-0157 on all correspondence in regards to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13, this notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-61, Oct 15, 2012. The North America Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112.
