Description
General Notice: The purpose of this notice is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, request capability statements from businesses concerning the potential project described below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. General Information: Responses are to be sent via email to robert.e.corkrum@usace.army.mil and clearly labeled with the firm's name and sources sought title: Emergency Power Line Repairs at Howard Hanson Dam and Mud Mountain Dam in support of Seattle District, US Army Corps of Engineers. Submissions must be received at the office no later than 1:00 PM, Pacific Time on 30 November 2012. PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION: This project is for Emergency Power Line Repairs and shall be for the local areas of Howard Hanson Dam and Mud Mountain Dam in King County, Washington State. This IDIQ may be executed 7 days a week 24 hours a day, and once work has begun, will continue 24 hours a day until the completion of the emergency power line repairs. The Contractor will respond to emergency phone call requests within 12 hours; with repair work to begin within 24 hours of receiving the emergency phone call. EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIRED: Contractor shall furnish all supplies and materials for emergency power line repairs to be performed under this contract. A general list of services not limited to: replace power pole(s) including restoring all wires, cables, etc. to restore the power pole back to working condition, repair downed power line(s), and replacing downed power line(s). Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between: $250,000 to $500,000. Davis Bacon Wages (Heavy) are applicable for this requirement. The intent of this Sources Sought is to research qualified firms with a primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130, which has a size standard of $33.5 million for a potential acquisition. In accordance with FAR Subpart 19.10 -- Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program the Government is considering issuing this solicitation as unrestricted since the NAICS code 237130 is a designated industry group under this section. The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price shall be applicable. Therefore, the successful firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. Interested firms should submit to the point of contact listed below, with the following information regarding their company. 1. Company Name, Address and Point of Contact including email address 2. Small Business status (if applicable) 3. Evidence of bonding capability 4. Relevant work experience with similar projects. 5. Demonstrate ability to meet 12-hour response time.
