Description

DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Alcon Ophthalmic & Lens Care Division, 6201 S Freeway, Ft Worth, TX 76134-2099 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-62. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The requirements of this solicitation are: 8065-751462, Alcon 25G Total Plus Vitrectomy Pack 6 Cases THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NAICS Code 339113, with a size standard of 500 Employees applies to this procurement. All inquiries received by 8:00 P.M. Central Time, Monday, November 26th, 2012, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by facsimile at (402) 995-4508.
