- Description
- The Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC), on behalf of the current Coalition Wideband Networking Waveform (COALWNW) program member nations [i.e., Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US)], is seeking information concerning the availability of capable domestic and international industry vendors to provide Software Defined Radio (SDR) Waveform (WF) Applications that can successfully support secure, wideband coalition connectivity for these nations. COALWNW was established in 2009 between the program member nations in recognition of the need for a multinational SDR networking WF solution to support secure coalition operations. The program is structured into three phases: Phase 1 defined the COALWNW requirement and technical specifications; Phase 2 will procure a WF (that may be ported to national platforms) and reference implementation; and Phase 3 will focus on cooperative interoperability testing of the WF against the reference implementation, and planning for WF sustainment. In preparation for Phase 2, the COALWNW program member nations request domestic and international industry vendors review and comment on Government-provided information as detailed in the attachment to this RFI. This RFI shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the US Government, or the government of any COALWNW program member nation, to acquire any products or services. Any information provided in response to this RFI is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the US Government or the government of any COALWNW program member nation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. At this point, the COALWNW program member nations are only interested in identifying interested and capable industry vendors to verify the technical feasibility of the draft COALWNW SS and IAIRS documents, and review and comment on the Government-provided information detailed in the attachment to this RFI.
