- Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for the Ion Velocity Meter (IVM) The United States Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Defense Weather Systems Directorate (DWSD) is pursuing an unrestricted-full and open competition for the production of IVM space sensors through the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to support the Space Situational Awareness Environmental Monitoring (SSAEM) development effort. The estimated production contract period of performance is 24 months. The contract is expected to produce up to six (6) Ion Velocity Meter (IVM) space sensors on a firm fixed price contract (FFP). The contracts will be evaluated based on lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) source selection procedures. Small and disadvantaged businesses are highly encouraged. The NAICS code is 334516, with a small business standard of 500 employees.
