Description

This notice is informational only and is neither a request for quote nor a solicitation of proposals. Responses received may be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must be detailed information and must show clear and convincing evidence within 3 days that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates an ability to meet the agency's needs. Information can be sent to carlos.suggs@va.gov. AT&T National Accounts, LLC is currently providing wireless telecommunication services for wireless devices (blackberries, cell phones and broadband cards) for the Veteran Administration Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. The telecommunication services provided by AT&T National Accounts, LLC are existing services for this location, and they are used to support clinical and administrative personnel in the completion of their duties while away from their physical office. These devices also serve to provide a measure of safety for personnel as the majority of the areas they travel are rural in nature. Substantial duplication of cost to the Government is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements would occur. Under the authority FAR Part 8.405-6(b)(1), it allows for the procurement of items through other than full and open competition; applicable when "only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the work." AT&T National Accounts, LLC is the only known local source available to satisfy this current need.
