Description
Revised Due Date for Responses: November 21, 2012 at 4pm EST BACKGROUND: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) is a national repository of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies designed to supplement and re-supply state and local public health agencies during a national emergency. The DSNS is 1) looking to expand to a fully intravenous needleless administration system, and 2) determine and identify alternate products and options to meet other defined intravenous fluid and medication administration stockpiling goals. To assist with both endeavors, the DSNS is interested in obtaining information from manufacturers and distributors about the quantity and types of intravenous fluids and medication administration supplies that are available within their facilities daily. The DSNS is also interested in manufacturer ramp up time to produce additional intravenous fluids and medication administration supplies at the time of a national emergency; this would include time and quantity estimates. PURPOSE: This notice is being issued by the CDC's Procurements and Grants Office (PGO) to conduct market research in order to determine manufacturer and distributor capabilities to support and assist the Federal government during a national health emergency.
